The Wake Forest Cemetery Advisory Board has cancelled the inaugural Wake Forest Cemetery Walking Tour.

Originally scheduled for Nov. 8, the walking tour was postponed until Nov. 15 due to inclement weather. On Saturday morning, after receiving reports predicting high winds and rain for Wake Forest, tour organizers opted to cancel this year’s event due to concerns for the health and safety of guests.

Refunds for advance ticket purchases are available at Town Hall, 401 Elm Avenue.

Despite this year’s setback, the Cemetery Advisory Board is planning to sponsor two cemetery walking tours next year – one in the spring and another in the fall – to coincide with the 2009 Wake Forest Centennial Celebration.
